ship being built

In shipbuilding and marine engineering, structural integrity, safety, and long-term reliability are paramount. Cenergy Offshore delivers advanced non-welded piping and hardline solutions, including the 37° Flare Flange System, Retain Ring Flange System, and Pyplok® purpose-built to meet the stringent demands of marine and offshore applications. These systems are extensively used across shipboard hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, and auxiliary piping systems, providing a durable, leak-free, and corrosion-resistant alternative to conventional welded piping. By eliminating hot work and reducing installation time, Cenergy Offshore’s non-welded solutions enhance safety, improve build efficiency, and support faster commissioning in modern shipbuilding projects.

Proven execution of reliable piping solutions in India

Cenergy Offshore has executed complete hydraulic piping for two Geo-Technical Research Vessels for FUGRO NV at TEBMA Shipyards, India (now Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited) —the Fugro Voyager and Fugro Scout (Udupi)—with end-to-end implementation of its non-welded solutions.

Beyond commercial marine work, Cenergy Offshore’s non-welded piping capabilities extend into defence and naval shipbuilding ecosystems, where quality assurance, repeatability, and safety controls are especially stringent.

As India accelerates its journey toward becoming a major global shipbuilding hub, shipyards are under growing pressure to deliver safer builds, faster schedules, and higher system integrity—especially for hydraulics and critical fluid systems where leaks, vibration, and rework can be costly. Cenergy Offshore supports this shift with non-welded hardline solutions—notably the 37° Flare Flange System, Retain Ring Flange System, and Pyplok®—engineered for high-pressure, high-reliability marine service while reducing dependency on hot work and weld-quality variability.

Class-Certified Non-Welded Piping Solutions for Shipbuilding

TMI non-welded piping systems are approved and class-certified by leading international classification societies, including ABS, BV, CCS, LR, and DNV. These certifications confirm compliance with the most stringent marine standards for pressure containment, fatigue performance, vibration resistance, and leak integrity, making TMI solutions fully acceptable for use in both commercial shipbuilding and naval programs.

Modern shipbuilding demands piping systems that combine structural integrity, safety, and long-term reliability under extreme operating conditions. Tube-Mac (TMI) non-welded piping solutions, delivered and supported by Cenergy Offshore, are purpose-engineered to meet these challenges across commercial vessels, offshore units, and defence ships.

TMI products have undergone extensive qualification and endurance testing aligned with the operational demands of:

  • Commercial vessels (tankers, research vessels, offshore support ships)

  • Naval and defence platforms, where reliability, redundancy, and system survivability are critical

Testing regimes include pressure cycling, impulse testing, vibration endurance, thermal variation, and corrosion exposure, ensuring dependable performance throughout the vessel’s service life.

Globally Accepted, Class-Certified Technology

TMI systems, including the 37° flare flange, retain ring flange and Pyplok® mechanically attached fittings, are class-approved by major international classification societies such as ABS, DNV, LR, BV and CCS. This means they meet the rigorous requirements for marine pressure systems, vibration endurance and leak integrity across both commercial and defence vessels — a key reason shipbuilders worldwide specify them as a trusted solution.

Tube-Mac (TMI) non-welded piping solutions are used around the world in shipbuilding because they combine international class certifications, faster, safer installation, higher reliability in marine environments, and lower operational risk than traditional welded systems — making them a preferred choice for modern commercial and defence vessels.

Engineered for Marine Reliability: Why Global Shipbuilders Rely on TMI® Hardline

Class Certified

Certified by leading classification societies such as ABS, DNV, LR, BV, and CCS, ensuring compliance with stringent marine standards for both commercial and defence vessels worldwide.

Complete Portfolio

Comprehensive range of non-welded solutions with all possible fitting configuration and materials (CS,SS, Duplex, Super Duplex, Cu-Ni, Ti) enabling shipyards to standardize multiple piping systems under a single, proven technology.

Quicker Delivery

Eliminating welding, post-weld inspection, and rework significantly reduces installation time, supporting faster block assembly, parallel construction, and on-schedule vessel delivery.

Quick implementation

Installation without welding eliminates fire risk, gas handling, and confined-space hazards, improving overall shipyard safety while reducing permit requirements and operational constraints.

Long Term Reliablity

Non-welded joints allow for quick disassembly, modification, and repair without hot work, simplifying maintenance, refits, and future system upgrades throughout the vessel’s service life.

Proven performance in Shipbuilding : Case Studies

As India continues to strengthen its position as a global shipbuilding and defence manufacturing hub, the adoption of proven, class-certified non-welded piping technologies becomes a strategic enabler for safer construction, faster delivery, and long-term system reliability. With Tube-Mac (TMI) hardline solutions and deep execution experience across commercial, research, and defence vessels, Cenergy Offshore supports Indian shipyards with internationally accepted piping systems that align with modern shipbuilding practices and global quality standards.
