The Dwarka Expressway Tunnel is a critical infrastructure development designed to support high traffic volumes and ensure commuter safety. As part of this project, a robust high-pressure fire suppression system was required to safeguard approximately 40,000 motorists using the tunnel daily.

The Challenge

Contractor J Kumar Infraprojects Limited was tasked with installing nearly 20 kilometers (65,000 feet) of high-pressure stainless steel tubing within a highly compressed project timeline.

Traditional welding methods posed several challenges:
